Barbara Teertstra

Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor

Bar has always considered herself an active person. She was first introduced to Pilates through "BodyFlow," a group exercise program that blended elements of yoga, Pilates, and tai chi. After completing a weekend certification to teach, she felt a strong desire for deeper knowledge and more comprehensive training.

Fast forward ten years and three children later, Bar found herself ready to re-enter the workforce—but only in a role that aligned with her passion for health and wellness while keeping her family as the top priority. Rediscovering her love for Pilates, she knew that STOTT PILATES® was the perfect fit, offering a well-recognized and high-quality training method. Gaining the right education was essential to building confidence in her ability and ensuring the best results for her clients.

Bar became a certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor in 2020 and has loved every step of the journey. She is passionate about helping clients stay strong and mobile as they age. She firmly believes in the power of movement and takes pride in guiding others toward greater strength, stability, and overall well-being.

Ashley never set out to become a Pilates instructor—Pilates found her. What began as a way to heal from injury and chronic pain quickly became life-changing. She felt stronger, her pain eased, and she discovered a deeper mind-body connection than ever before.

With over 15 years in the wellness industry—specializing in holistic skincare, nutrition, and lymphatic drainage—movement has always been an integral part of Ashley’s world. Becoming a STOTT PILATES® Instructor deepened her understanding of how to create true balance in the body. She loves how this method celebrates individuality, empowering people to move with strength, ease, and freedom.

Carlee MacKenzie

Trained STOTT PILATES® Instructor

Carlee brings a lifelong passion for movement and wellness to Pilates MVMT. Her journey began as a dancer, where she developed a deep appreciation for the connection between mind and body. After stepping away from dance, she searched for a workout that truly fulfilled her—until she discovered Pilates. From her very first session, Carlee felt a renewed sense of alignment, energy, and balance that had been missing.

Trained in STOTT PILATES®, Carlee is drawn to the method’s intelligent and holistic approach to movement. She values how it strengthens, lengthens, and supports the body in a way that enhances natural function—making it accessible and effective for individuals at any stage of their fitness journey.

At Pilates MVMT, Carlee is dedicated to helping clients improve their movement patterns, build deeper body awareness, and leave each class feeling strong, energized, toned, and completely balanced.

Melissa Fast

Trained STOTT PILATES® Instructor

Melissa’s journey with Pilates began as a personal one—after a major back surgery, she turned to Pilates as part of her rehabilitation and never looked back. She first discovered the method through private sessions and quickly fell in love with its transformative power. What started as a way to heal soon became a passion, as she experienced firsthand how Pilates could strengthen, restore, and completely change her body.

Before becoming a Pilates Instructor, Melissa ran a successful wedding photography business, where her entrepreneurial mindset and attention to detail helped her thrive. When Cassondra decided to expand Pilates MVMT, she knew exactly who she wanted by her side—cue Melissa! With her background in business and administration, stepping into the role of Studio Manager was a natural fit.

Melissa has completed her training through Merrithew and is on her way to becoming a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor. She is beyond excited to grow her career in such a life-changing environment and to help others discover just how incredible the Pilates method truly is!

Melanie O'Leary

Trained STOTT PILATES® Instructor

Melanie has been a lifelong student of health and wellness, inspired by how the body moves, heals, and grows stronger. Discovering Pilates felt like a natural next step, a practice that blends strength, mindfulness, and intentional movement in a way that truly lights her up.

With certifications in yoga and breathwork, Melanie brings a strong mind-body connection into every class. Building community and connection are everything to her, and she loves creating spaces where people feel supported, energized, and confident in their bodies.

After having two children, making time to care for herself felt challenging. Booking a class at MVMT became her reset, one intentional hour to reconnect with her body, quiet her mind, and rebuild strength from the inside out.

Experiencing postpartum life firsthand gave Melanie a whole new appreciation for what women’s bodies are capable of. Pilates showed her how transformative intentional movement can be, and she is passionate about helping others rediscover their strength, confidence, and resilience, one strong, mindful movement at a time.

Outside of the studio, her boys, coffee and fresh air fill her cup!

Robyn Jones

Trained STOTT PILATES® Instructor

Robyn’s journey to Pilates began after a lifetime of high-energy, high-intensity movement. Always active and constantly on the go, she thrived on sweaty, fast-paced workouts—until her body asked her to slow down. That pause led her to Pilates, and from the very first class, she was hooked.

What stood out immediately was Pilates’ ability to challenge both the mind and body. Robyn found a deeper connection to movement—one that required presence, awareness, and intention. It was the missing piece she didn’t know she needed.

As her appreciation for the Pilates method grew, so did a desire for change. After six years as a classroom teacher, Robyn began exploring a new path—one that blended her love of teaching with her passion for movement. Becoming a Pilates instructor felt like the most natural next step.

At Pilates MVMT, Robyn is dedicated to helping clients move with purpose, build strength, and develop a deeper connection to their bodies.

Mikayla Quenneville

Trained STOTT PILATES® Instructor

Mikayla's Pilates journey began during COVID, when her dance teacher introduced Pilates classes over Zoom to keep dancers moving at home. Movement has always been a central part of her life. Mikayla has trained as a competitive dancer for 18 years and continues to dance today as a member of the Western Dance Team.

As her training evolved, so did my passion for Pilates. After transitioning to Pilates MVMT, Mikayla's practice deepened, and with Cassondra’s support, began her own instructing journey. Pilates quickly became the perfect complement to her dance background grounded in control, strength, and intentional movement.

Mikayla's teaching style blends classical Pilates principles with her experience as a dancer. She aims to challenge clients to reach their full potential while prioritizing safety, proper alignment, and effective muscle engagement. She loves incorporating anatomical terminology into classes to help clients better understand their bodies, the purpose behind each exercise, and how movement translates into strength, function, and longevity.

Whether in the studio or practicing on her own, she believes movement is essential not just as exercise, but as a lifelong foundation for health, confidence, and well-being.
